What an adventure!

-Hiked all day to base camp with 30+ lb of water and supplies on my back (7 hours)

-Traveled through farms, cloudy forest, dark rainforest, dry and open mountainous switchbacks

-Finally reached our base camp perched on the side of Acetenango and looking out onto Fuego

-Rested and regrouped by the fire and got to see Fuego explode every five minutes

-Had a freezing night snuggled in one sleeping bag, trying to navigate altitude sickness

-4am wake up to climb to the summit of Acetenango (4 hours of hiking)

-Run all the way down from base camp back to the beginning (3+ hours and horrific toe and quad pain)
