On my way to Alaska, I stopped in Seattle for my third Cindy visit. Cindy, the activities queen, lives in Green Lake. Green Lake is a wonderful combination of city, suburb, and small lake town…I was really thrilled by the layout and the energy. Everyone in Green Lake seems hardworking yet super activity oriented…my kind of people. When I say actives, I mean ACTIVITIES!

On Thursday we paddle-boarded and swam,

on Friday we ran around the lake,

on Saturday we hiked 8 miles to another incredible lake,

and on Sunday we biked on Bainbridge Island right off the coast of the city!

I have never felt so good and spent so little heading into the week. My weekend in Seattle changed my perspective and showed me that my life doesn’t have to be NYC or the highway if I still crave a city lifestyle. Seattle really does have it all…beach, lake, mountains, city….minus some weirdly aggressive drivers, a slight lack of fashion, and some ominously empty streets. I can’t wait for my next visit, which happens to be in a few weeks…more to come XX AP
